“And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.“ – Isaiah 42:16
- Let us claim the promise that God will not forsake us.
- He will be faithful to lead us in ways we are unfamiliar with, guiding us amidst unfamiliar paths, turning areas of darkness into light, and rough places into smooth ground.
“And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets to dwell in.” - Isaiah 58:12
- The Lord will rebuild what once was; He will raise up the foundations for many generations to come.
- Let us be but repairers of the breach, restorers of the streets.
Vision
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is in vain that you rise early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.” Psalm 127:1-2
- How vain are our efforts if not for the Lord. He alone is our strength, and He alone is our source.
- Let us be wary of finding strength in ourselves.
- Let us be quick to seek Him, and to rely on His guidance.
- Generations are solely from the Lord.
- Let us cultivate an environment of raising up men who will fight to the death for God’s glory.
Students
“Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again. Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel, and not frightened in anything by your opponents. This is a clear sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God.” – Philippians 1:25-28
- That we would help students progress and find joy in their faith in God, bringing glory to Christ Jesus.
- That we all would live worthily of the gospel; striving together, held in unity by the Spirit, fearing nothing.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” – John 13:34-35
- If we do anything, let us love one another with a Christ-like love.
- That our love be a testament of our faith in God, and allegiance to Jesus.
Support
“Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:17, 19
- In fundraising, that we wouldn’t focus on the gifts, but on the fruit God allows from our labor.
- Let us claim the promises of God’s provision.
“Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” – Proverbs 11:25
- In our season of need, let us give liberally.
- Let us not rely on ourselves, or even others, but know that all is from the Lord’s hand.
